Ganqimaodu Port is the closest land port to the main mineral resource provinces in Mongolia. In terms of coal imports, Ganqimaodu Port is 190 kilometers away from the Taben Tolgoi Coal Mine in South Gobi Province. The Taben Tolgoi Coal Mine has preliminary proven coal reserves of 6.4 billion tons, including 1.8 billion tons of scarce coking coal. At present, the main enterprises participating in coal imports are Shenhua, Chinalco, Kerry, Baosteel, Yiteng, etc. The coal imports at Ganqimaodu Port have exceeded 10 million tons for three consecutive years, accounting for 28% of the country's coking coal imports and 52% of the autonomous region's coal imports.
