At 10:08 on July 5th, the first "China-Afghanistan Express" road-rail intermodal international freight train departed from the Dongchuan Railway Yard of the Lanzhou Railway Bureau. After changing at the Kashgar Port in Xinjiang, it will exit through the Irkesh Port in Xinjiang., And finally arrived in Afghanistan.

The train is loaded with 39 containers of auto parts, furniture, office supplies, household goods, machinery and equipment and other goods. The whole journey adopts the "railway, highway and railway" multimodal transport mode. The whole journey is about 3125 kilometers, and the total duration is expected to be 15 days.

Lanzhou Railway Bureau gives full play to the advantages of railway transportation, actively connects with Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce, China Railway Container Lanzhou Branch, Gansu International Logistics Group Co., Ltd. and other units and departments, dynamically grasps the market transportation demand, and does a good job in the formulation of transportation organization plan and the allocation of empty vehicles, so as to provide transportation capacity guarantee for the train operation.

The Dongchuan Freight Business Department of Lanzhou Freight Center overcame the difficulties of tight loading time and heavy tasks, organized the backbone of the business to work overtime and completed 39 container loading tasks overnight to ensure the timely operation of the train.
