The country's larger container trains depart!


Abstract

On September 20, the X8721 multi-link express train carrying 40 50-foot containers from Shanghai to Guangzhou departed from Minhang Station of Shanghai Railway Freight Center and headed for Dongguan, Guangdong. It is understood that the effective volume of the 50-foot container is increased by about 50% and the maximum load is increased by 16% compared with the previous 40-foot container, greatly reducing the logistics cost.

The 50-foot container railway multi-link express adopts the organization mode of "rapid distribution at both ends of trunk railway transportation" to provide end customers with full logistics services, with a maximum operating speed of 120 kilometers per hour. After this type of container is put into use, it will greatly enhance my country's inland container transportation capacity and greatly reduce logistics costs.
