International multimodal transport corridor continues to expand
International multimodal transport such as China-Europe Express, China-Europe Land-Sea Express, New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and Lianyungang-Horgos New Asia-Europe Land-Sea Intermodal Transport have developed steadily. The China-Europe Express has reached more than 200 cities in 25 European countries, 86 lines running at 120 kilometers per hour pass through major areas in the hinterland of Asia and Europe, and the logistics distribution network covers Eurasia. By the end of June 2023, China-Europe Express has operated 74000 trains, transporting nearly 7 million standard boxes and more than 50000 kinds of goods, involving 53 categories such as complete automobiles, mechanical equipment and electronic products, with a total value of over 300 billion US dollars. From scratch, the China-Europe Land-Sea Express Line has become the third trade channel between China and Europe after the traditional sea route and the land-based China-Europe Express. In 2022, the total volume of all-channel transportation will exceed 180000 TEUs, and more than 2600 trains will be operated. The rail-sea intermodal transport train, a new land-sea channel in the west, covers 18 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in central and western China, and goods flow to more than 300 ports in more than 100 countries.
